With Deportivo, Aston Villa, Rennes, Stuttgart, Napoli, Rosenborg, Braga and Vaslui, 8 of the 11 qualified teams reached the main round of the UEFA Cup. The best performing team was Sporting Club de Braga. They went as far as to play the round of the last 16, where they lost to Paris St-Germain FC. |
